Who can short-lease with BKR?
With us, you can short-term lease with BKR (Credit Registration Office) for both business and private individuals. When assessing your application, we consider not only your credit history but also the trust we have in you (and your business). For this reason, you can also have a negative BKR registration apply for a short-term lease.

How does a BKR registration work?
The BKR registers all loans over €250 (personal) and €1,000 (business) with a term longer than one month. It also records whether payments are made on time. Businesses can then request this information from the BKR when someone wants to take out a loan or credit, to assess their creditworthiness.
If you always pay on time, you have a positive BKR registration. If you're behind on payments or are in debt mediation, you have a negative BKR registration. With a negative BKR registration, your application will be rejected immediately by many leasing companies.
